HOW IT ALL STARTED

Updated: May 16, 2021

I love cats and I always had cats all my life. I grew up in Italy and stray cats would litter every street, they called me the cat queen because I loved to feed and spend time with them. One day we found a baby kitten outside our door, we called her Misty for mysterious because we never knew where she came from.

We immediately fell in love with her and she soon became a part of our growing family. The vet said that she was probably a mix with Maine Coons and that was the first time I heard of the breed. Misty has an amazing personality, she is very affectionate and loves other pets while also cherishing her time spent alone, we would describe her as an independent but warm hearted cat. Misty has been with us for 8 years and after quitting my job as a teacher to stay home with my kids I started thinking about becoming a Maine Coon breeder. I started to research and learn as much as possible about the breed and soon felt a lot of responsibility to help create new generations so families can cherish the beautiful breed for many years to come.

Our First Two Maine Coons

A year ago I joined many Maine coons pages on Facebook to learn from other breeders until I met the breeder Kelley Hinze from Texas Maine Coonery and she taught me so many things about Maine Coons that made me fall deeper in love

On May 11 we bought our first two Maine Coons from Russia. Anastasia and Yuri are just 3 months old. They are not related and you can check on my website about their parents. This is our first couple and we will wait until they are mature enough to become parents. They will get here after June 10 at the age of 4 months. We are every excited and cannot wait to pick them up from the airport.

My dream is to be the best Maine Coon breeder that I can be. I hope to keep learning as much as I can and hope that one day I can share my experience about this beautiful breed with other Maine Coon lovers.

Follow my blog to get to know Yuri and Anastasia, I will be posting when I pick them up from the airport so make sure to stay tuned.
